Ambitious Miami Riverbridge Project Receives Unanimous Approval from Urban Development Review Board

The City of Miami Urban Development Review Board has unanimously approved the ambitious Miami Riverbridge project. This redevelopment initiative, a collaboration between Miami-based developer Gencom and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, aims to revitalize the iconic Hyatt Regency site.

The project’s centerpiece is a sprawling three-tower complex spanning 3.8 million square feet. It will feature a mix of residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces to enhance Miami’s skyline and urban experience.

The development’s tallest structure will soar to 87 stories, reaching 1,044 feet. This tower will house 860 luxury apartments, setting a new standard for residential living in the city. Adjacent to it, a 61-story tower will offer an additional 682 apartment units, while a 62-story building will accommodate a 615-key Hyatt Hotel, complemented by extensive meeting facilities and serviced apartments.

Integral to the project is the enhancement of public amenities and urban connectivity. A 480-foot section of the Miami Riverwalk will be developed, incorporating 50,000 square feet of new public space. Additionally, the development will provide a covered connection to the Metromover’s Knight Center Station, facilitating easy access for residents and visitors alike.

Construction is slated to commence in 2026, with an anticipated completion date set for 2030. This timeline underscores the project’s scale and complexity, aiming to deliver a transformative urban landscape while meeting the highest standards of architectural innovation and sustainability.
