BRG International Kicks Off Art Basel Miami Beach with a Celebration of Nina Pandolfo

The private exhibit marked the kickoff of Miami Beach’s Art Basel 2018, one of the largest international art fairs in the world.  The influx of arriving international visitors, celebrities and art collectors offers luxury real estate brokers unparalleled access to the most affluent buyers participating in the event. The Wednesday evening event, hosted by BRG International, welcomed about 200 art enthusiasts.

“Art Basel Miami Beach gives real estate brokers and developers a significant opportunity to interact with the art community. The annual fair attracts international attention and is the only time of the year where curators, collectors, investors, and high net-worth individuals gather in Miami for the prestigious event,” said Matias Alem, CEO of the company. “This is our fourth event during Art Basel, and since there are so many events this time of year we learned that our key factor needs to be exclusivity, a very appealing feature to our guests.”

For this reason, choosing Nina Pandolfo, a Brazilian artist celebrated as one of the most exciting emerging contemporary fine artists, was an easy choice. When invited by BRG to exhibit and create an open street mural during Miami Art Week, the artist was in the process of creating an exhibition to London. In the short space of time, Nina then carefully selected five works from her personal collection, each telling a story.

Nina took an artsy touch to an unusual spot of the city. At the invitation of BRG, she painted a mural at the entrance to a parking lot in Pennsylvania Ave where there was no street art… Until then. To create the mural, which will be exposed for a month, it was even necessary to request permission from the city hall.

The work was inaugurated on Wednesday especially for Art Basel (which runs until Sunday) when the city lives one of its cultural highlights of the year.
