Phase One of Continuum Waterfront Is Underway
Construction is underway on the first phase, Continuum Waterfront Club & Residences, at 1755 79th Street Causeway. Nearly 50% of the 198 units in the 32-story tower are presold. This project is the second Continuum-branded condo in South Florida, following the well-known Continuum South Beach.
Residents will enjoy:
-
Over 60,000 square feet of amenities
-
Waterfront pool and wellness center
-
Access to private yacht and beach clubs
The hotel portion of Continuum Waterfront will feature a rooftop pool and carry the Continuum brand as well.
Timeline and Background of Continuum Waterfront
Allie Eichner, president of Continuum Florida, presented the project at the commission meeting. The developer plans to secure a master building permit by late 2025. Akerman attorney Christopher Penelas, son of former Miami-Dade Mayor Alex Penelas, represents the developer.
Continuum Company bought the property for $75 million last year from Montreal-based Jesta Group, which had earlier planned a mixed-use redevelopment.
North Bay Village’s Growing Market Includes Continuum Waterfront
The Continuum Waterfront project is part of a broader luxury development trend in North Bay Village. Since the village updated its zoning code five years ago, several major projects have been proposed:
-
The Ansin family’s mixed-use project, owners of Sunbeam Television
-
Related Group and Harry Macklowe’s waterfront residential development on the former Biscayne Sea Club site
These developments highlight North Bay Village’s rising appeal between Miami and Miami Beach. Learn about other luxury projects in the area on our Miami real estate overview.
Conclusion: Continuum Waterfront Sets New Standards
The Continuum Waterfront project promises to elevate North Bay Village’s luxury living and public spaces. With upscale condos, hotel rooms, shops, and a public waterfront promenade, it will become a premier destination in South Florida.
