David Guetta Sells Setai Miami Beach Condo for Record-Breaking $16M
September 6, 2024French DJ and music producer David Guetta has sold his Miami Beach condo for $16 million, setting a new price-per-square-foot record for the area. The property, located at 101 20th Street in the prestigious Setai Miami Beach, is 2,500 square feet and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The sale, which closed last week, is priced at $6,337 per square foot, marking a significant milestone for Miami Beach real estate.
Guetta originally purchased the unit in 2018 from developer Richard LeFrak for $9.5 million.
The Setai, a luxury oceanfront condo hotel built in 2005, features over 160 units. In 2014, the billionaire Nakash family, founders of Jordache Jeans, acquired the hotel portion for $90 million.
Guetta’s real estate ventures are far from over. Last year, he entered into a contract to purchase a 1.2-acre waterfront estate in Indian Creek Village, listed for $69 million. The pending deal would make Guetta neighbors with high-profile individuals such as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Dutch heir Geert-Jan Bakker, and former U.S. first daughter Ivanka Trump. Bezos alone has invested $234 million into Indian Creek properties across three deals last year.
This marks a significant upgrade for Guetta as he transitions from his Miami Beach condo to the exclusive private island, which has become a hotspot for celebrity and billionaire homeowners.
