Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant to Open May 2025 at Historic South Beach Location
May 2, 2025The team behind Miami’s famed Versace Mansion and The Setai is unveiling its next luxury venture: Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, opening May 2025 at 1350 Collins Avenue in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco District.
Housed in a beautifully restored 1922 Wallace Tutt-designed building, the boutique property features just six rooms, offering guests an intimate and personalized experience. Initially acquired in 2022 by Nakash Group and Vida & Estilo Hospitality Group, Mico Design Studio has meticulously restored the building, blending historic architectural charm with refined modern design. Interiors feature natural stone, warm wood, gold accents, and custom lighting, all tailored to evoke a sense of Mediterranean elegance.
Donatella Restaurant, led by Naples-born Chef Alessandro Morrone, will anchor the experience with a Southern Italian menu that includes signature dishes such as Rigatoni Nduja, Black Truffle Cacio e Pepe, Veal Milanese, and Skull Island Prawns. The 170-seat dining space consists of a private dining room for 15 and offers an immersive ambiance with an open kitchen, lush greenery, and a hand-painted mural by a local artist.
The hotel’s guests will enjoy concierge and butler service, wellness offerings including spa treatments and a fitness center, and exclusive access to beach daybeds and partner pool facilities.
As South Beach sees a wave of luxury hotel openings—including Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach, Rosewood The Raleigh, the Grand Hyatt, and Aman—Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant stands out for its balance of historic charm, culinary excellence, and personalized hospitality, reimagining boutique luxury in a city known for its glamour.
