Four Seasons in Coconut Grove: Ugo Colombo Unveils Visionary Project

Developer Ugo Colombo is teaming up with Fort Partners, led by Nadim Ashi, to work on a new Four Seasons-branded tower in Coconut Grove, Miami. The project will replace the former Offices in the Grove building at 2699 South Bayshore Drive, which is being demolished. Colombo’s CMC Group owns the nine-story building and acquired the property in 2020 from Mast Capital.

Fort Partners and CMC have not yet commented on the partnership. Still, it’s worth noting that Fort Partners owns all of the Four Seasons properties in South Florida. They are responsible for notable developments such as the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club in Surfside, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, Four Seasons Miami Hotel in Brickell, and Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach.

Coconut Grove has been undergoing significant redevelopment in recent years. Colombo’s CMC is already working on the nearby Vita at Grove Isle luxury condo building and the completed Brickell Flatiron condo tower in 2019. Other developers, like David Martin’s Terra, have also been involved in significant projects in the area, such as the Grove at Grand Bay condo project and the Park Grove development.

Across the street from the former Kaufman Rossin building, the Treo Group developed a mixed-use marina on city-owned land, including Regatta Harbour and the Bayshore Club restaurant. Coconut Grove’s real estate market has seen remarkable sales, with a record-setting sale at the Four Seasons in Surfside last year at nearly $5,800 per square foot in Miami-Dade County.
