July 12, 2019Royal Caribbean’s new global corporate headquarters will break ground this month. The $300 million project is being built at PortMiami. Plaza Construction, CBRE and architect HOK are overseeing the construction and they say it will become Miami’s “first true corporate campus.”
“Plaza has been building iconic buildings in Miami since 2002 and is pleased to include Royal Caribbean in its portfolio,” says Brad Meltzer, President, Plaza Construction.
The campus will have at its center a 10-story, 350,000 square-foot building planned by HOK, landscaping will be composed of indigenous flora. The project also includes a soccer field, volleyball court, basketball court, and fitness center for employees, and a 1,500-space parking garage with sustainability features, such as electric car chargers, photovoltaic cells, and rainwater collectors.
The workforce capability will increase from 2,200 to 4,200 employees, and help to attract world-class talent to Miami, according to Royal Caribbean.
