In about 20 years, half of America will live in eight states

By 2040, 70 percent of the population in the United States will be living in 16 states, with approximately 50 percent focused even further in eight states. The data published by the Washington Post comes from two sources: data analysis of Census Bureau’s figures by the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia and the American Enterprise Institute’s Norman Ornstein.
