Is the Four Seasons Coming to West Palm Beach, FL?

Fort Partners, the owner of all Four Seasons properties in South Florida, has purchased a waterfront apartment complex in West Palm Beach, Florida, for $20 million. Located at 3906 Washington Road and 3907 South Flagler Drive, the property lies directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from President-elect Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

The site encompasses two aging buildings constructed in 1972 and 1955, containing 17 and 8 units on nearly an acre of land, respectively. The seller, New York-based Philips International, acquired the complex for $4.3 million in 2015. Four years later, Philips proposed a nine-story, 27-unit condominium project on the site, but the development has yet to materialize.

Fort Partners has yet to disclose its plans for the property, but redevelopment is likely. The acquisition aligns with the growing trend of luxury condo developments near West Palm Beach’s waterfront, driven by high demand from affluent buyers who relocated to the area during the pandemic. Neighboring projects include a Robert A. M. Stern Architects-designed condominium being developed by Stephen Ross’s Related Companies just two miles away.

Fort Partners, based in Fort Lauderdale and led by Nadim Ashi, has a history of transformative projects. The firm owns all Four Seasons-branded properties in South Florida, including the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach. In 2017, it completed The Surf Club, a landmark development featuring a 77-room Four Seasons Hotel, 150 condo units, and a Michelin-starred restaurant by chef Thomas Keller. The company recently secured a $111 million construction loan for a boutique condo project near The Surf Club.

The firm’s other notable ventures include the Four Seasons properties in Brickell, Fort Lauderdale, and a newly launched condominium development in Miami’s Coconut Grove. Given Fort Partners’ track record, their latest acquisition could mark the arrival of another high-end Four Seasons property in South Florida.
