Photos: Monad Terrace has officially topped off
Pritzker Prize-winner Jean Nouvel’s vision for an artfully planned building that encompasses natural elements is now coming to life.
Monad Terrace, being built by JDS Development, will offer a stark contrast to the luxury of residential condos, with its discreet, medium-sized and elegant nature-inspired design.
The inspiration for the building revolves around a unique point of view. “Monad Terrace’s design identity lies in reflectivity, stemming from the building’s prime spot on Miami’s Biscayne Bay and the way the sun hits the water,” JDS Development CEO Michael Stern said.
The waterfront Monad Terrace, directly on the shore of Biscayne Bay, consists of two medium towers and 59 individually designed residences surrounding a glittering man-made lagoon. Nouvel’s masterpiece reflects the light into the lobby and living spaces, while the lagoon and pool draw the feel of Biscayne Bay deep in the heart of the property.
Monad Terrace is on the path for a conclusion in 2020.
