From the laughs of its guests, live music, craft drinks and carnival-inspired American dishes to arcade games perched along the walls, Ricky’s South Beach opened its doors into a 1980s time machine.
In late 2016, Miami-based Menin Hospitality, led by cousins Keith Menin and Jared Galbut, welcomed locals and tourists alike for the grand opening of its Ricky’s South Beach location at 1222 16th St., off Alton Road in Miami Beach.
This adult-only playground has a bar with as much as 150 variations of whiskey, among other cocktail choices. It also features games, live bands, stand-up comedy acts and sizzling dishes that include spicy guava wings, smoked chicken nachos and pork belly skewers.
The shop operates Monday through Friday 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 a.m.
Ricky’s is also squeezed between Menin’s Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, a taco-stand, and Halves & Wholes, a sandwich shop.
