The Riverside Wharf to Open Next Month Along the Miami River

October 27, 2017

The Miami River, in recent years, has seen an abundance of new and innovative concepts sprouting on its riverside. And the Riverside Wharf, which will debut in November, is definitely making use of the river’s prominent location and scenic beauty to entice its guests.

Located at 114 SW North River Drive, the 30,000-square-foot project, debuting just before Art Basel, brings a unique mixed-use food and dining complex that will represent a fresh hub for local fishing, restaurant dining and public enjoyment.

But for opening weekend, though, the guests that come to the Wharf can expect a delightful waterfront space with floors clothed in astro-turf, and decorated with an airstream bar, a string of food trucks, retail tents, ping pong tables and a raw bar and market run by a local seafood giant Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market.

Developers Alex Mantecon Guillermo Vadell and nightlife veteran Emi Guerra are running the show at this waterfront property, and have set it up with enough dock space for any boat owner who wants to skip Miami’s condensed traffic by driving the boat there instead.

Eventually, the property is expected to blossom into a consortium of restaurants and a fish market that will improve existing local fishing by providing fishermen the opportunity to sell their catch directly to the public and restaurants onsite.
