Starwood Capital New HQ in Miami Beach has Permits Now Pending

Starwood Capital Group is about to begin work on a new office and retail building in Miami Beach; construction and demolition permits were recently filed. The site is expected to be the company’s new headquarters.

Records confirm that a permit to demolish Avis’ former building, a rental car company, is pending, as a phased construction permit. The new project will feature two levels of retail and restaurant space, on the first and second floor, a total of 8,088 square feet of retail space is planned.

A pedestrian path will be constructed, surrounded by lush landscaping and flowing water will be found on the south side of the property. A total of 136,342 square feet of office space is being built, along with 305 parking spaces.

Coastal/Brodson Joint Venture is listed as the contractor; Gensler is the architect.
