Top 10: Florida has the best city to retire
October 11, 2019Florida is one of the best places in the country for retirees to live. The state has nine cities among the country’s top 30 places to retire, including the No. 1 city, according to U.S. News & World Report‘s 2020 Best Places to Retire List.
The study took into consideration the data of 125 large metros areas in the U.S. seeking to analyze how each city attended the needs and expectations of Americans regarding the subject. Factors including health care quality (18.79%), housing affordability (20.53% of the score), job market (10.42%), taxes (14.82%), desirability (13%) and happiness (22.44%).
Those numbers came from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. News‘ best hospital’s ranking, and the annual Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index.
